In “The Creation Process,” I wanted to convey the meaning of what materials are. Printed onto blocks of wood, are images of a tree in three stages; fetal, adolescent, and old age. The images provide a narrative of the tree with it ending in it’s death, which is then followed by a stack of wood panels on the fourth and final step of the tree’s life.
